Objectives:

1.  SRIJAN – Sustainable Rehabilitation of Inmates in Jails of Assam (New) is a step forward making Assam Jails as a correctional home.

2. The current Infrastructure, skill and education program, and Jail management needs a structural reforms to be at par with other progressive states.

3. Introduction of new skill development program which creates employability and enhance earnings ( minimum wages) needs a focus.

4. Looking beyond government funding for establishing prison industry for augmenting the revenue generation to support prisoners rehabilitation & livelihood support.

5. Branding and Marketing of prison goods to enhance demand and supply to increase revenue.

 
Vision:
   Transformation of Assam Jails to Correctional Homes to support rehabilitation to inmates, while augmenting current Prison produce to support minimum wages to prisoners.

Mission:

         To create employability, rehabilitation and provide financial assistance to the inmates by providing necessary training and exposure to MSMEs/startups industry for post release settlement and livelihood and to deposit revenue to State Exchequer.
